What exactly IS the Ivory SMP?

"The air here feels . . . wrong. The sky, an endless void, watches every move we make. The whispers— they are louder now. I came here seeking a new start, but what I found . . . These lands will change you." —Unknown.

While your means for arriving upon these lands are your own, one thing is blaringly obvious: Ivory was left behind long ago, both by the gods who made it and few who sought to maintain it.

And yet, despite chaos already leaking from a land lacking protection from the divine, Ivory seems to only get worse. Things change on a dime, even physics and basic laws seem to decide what is and what is not without a second glance at the laws around them nature put in place ages ago.

Something is terribly wrong here. An omitting fog in the distance, looming closer and corrupting whatever gets too close: People, other entities, and animals all dragged and dumped into this cauldron of insanity.

It does not matter how you showed up in Ivory. What matters now most, is one goal. You are built with this trait, use it wisely, for even though you can rejuvenate yourself odds are the world wants that to change;

Survive.

The Ivory SMP is a Java edition Minecraft server, compatible with versions 1.20.1 and above. Although, for general plugin and mod reasons, we recommend users stick to 1.20.1 instead of pushing their luck.

As of 02/15/2025, Ivory SMP has a variety of materials in place to let users feel immersed and comfortable all at once. Plugins, discord bots, and so much more have been added, customized, and polished thanks to our lovely staff team.

Ivory does not have a literacy level for roleplay: If your typing can be read, it's not a big deal how much or how good you write. However, a majority of all roleplay is done through our Discord server.

We have dedicated voice channels to allow users to voice their characters, alongside an in-game chat and side chat available for users who feel less comfortable doing so. Using your voice is not required, however, joining VCs to hear others is encouraged!

And don't worry if you want to contribute to the lore, my friend! We are currently in the beta testing phase of Ivory, with a full-fledged season coming in the following months. Plenty of lore is being changed all the time, and you can be part of it!
